Gold, larger (38. 3mm, weighing with ribbon 43. 1grams) and smaller (18. 5mm, weighing with ribbon 10. 3 grams) were awarded to Officers of the Royal Brunei Malay Regiment, heavily involved in the Coronation duties of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. Three other First Class medals were awarded to Ladies also involved in the Coronation Ceremony. Medals are
