Darien is a yet undescribed species from premontane forests in the Darién Province of Panama

Given the wide temperature tolerance of tenuis

It was believed to be extinct for decades due to catastrophic wildfires near its type locale

All its parents tend to lend thick leaves to their offspring which allows them to be very tolerant of temperatures swings

It produces tubby, robust pitchers with a wide peristome. The coloration is variable amongst individuals, ranging from red to yellow with purple striping. Weve grown it well under lowland and intermediate conditions though its likely to do well in a highland environment as well. This product is considered a Intermediate Tropical plant.
