Jane Freebairn - Reproduction Sampler Chart by Victorian Rose Needlearts biscornu Linen: 32ct Straw Linen (WeeksJane Freebairn is another colorful Scottish sampler from approximately the same time period. Neither of the girls dated their samplers, but we can tell from the style of stitching that they were both mid to late 19th century. She is stitched on Picture This Plus Oaken using NPI silks and has a DMC conversion. The verse reads: Happy would it be for me, if in the rising bloom of youth, I did devote my life to thee, O thou the God of love and truth
